This Design and Construct project involves the controlled demolition and removal of the 450 kW wind tunnel and associated infrastructure within Building 37 at Monash University’s Clayton campus. The works conducted in a live research environment, requiring careful planning, design coordination, and stakeholder engagement to ensure safety, compliance, and minimal discruption.

The project requires a multi-disciplinary approach that integrates engineering design, services isolation, and precise on-site works.

Development of engineering demolition methodologies, sequencing, and temporary works design to ensure safe removal of large components. This includes bracing, popping, hoardings, and access layouts, all reviewed and certified by qualified engineers before commencement.
