Project Overview
This project involves the demolition and removal of the main central decking and the suspended ramp/verandah at Braemar House. New works include mass concrete footings, a structural steel subframe, and stormwater drainage beneath the deck. A new concrete apron and softfall adjustments to accommodate tactile indicators. New Modwood decking with concealed fixing installed over the steel frame. Tiered seating and decking beneath the ramp replaced with new steel-framed structures. The existing handrail reinstated, with new Modex handrail installed to meet compliance.
All works delivered in a live school environment during the school holidays to minimise disruption, with completion timed for the return of the Early Learning Centre. Off-site prefabrication of key components, including the steel seating frame, facilitate efficient on-site installation and timely delivery.
