We are delighted to announce the completion of an extensive and complex refurbishment of a suburban school in collaboration with the Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS). Given the school’s need to continue operating normally, careful planning, partnership with all stakeholders, and fostering a daily spirit of cooperation were essential to ensure minimal disruption and deliver work in which the school now takes pride. Now at the finalisation of the project, the entire school community can enjoy and take pride in a school at its best.
Anyone who has had children at school and endured daily pick-ups, in-school events, and the near chaos of peak times will undoubtedly appreciate the challenge of delivering outcomes safely, to specification, and on time. Public safety and maintaining secure lines between the school and the construction site was of the utmost focus.
The scope of work was substantial, the project included;
- Partial reconstruction of the double brick façade.
- Ground stabilisation efforts
- Interior refurbishments featuring custom joinery
- External enhancements with new civil drainage along the southern edge
- Creation of new garden beds and planting
- Upgrades in the Administration area and the main corridor
Importantly, it was highly valued that we could align activities to enable the Administration staff to use the term break to prepare for the coming term.
Now finalised, we are delighted with the outcomes, particularly in how our team and the school could cooperate continuously to achieve. We were inspired by the trust MACS awarded us, energised by the school administration and teaching body in their ready communication and engagement, and rewarded with the results that the students and teachers will enjoy in engaging young minds to learn.
We are also grateful for our team of professionals at Exemplo, who once again demonstrated their ability to build a strong daily rapport amid the evolving dynamics to deliver quality client results.
